According to a 1999 survey by the California Health care Foundation (should be "Care")

is a Kenyan scammer. She might not also be. Kelli, on the other hand is a genuine writer who might have encountered a technical difficulty. On the other hand, it could be the customer who is having a technical difficulty, because some of you have to be outguessed or outmaneuvered in order to find out what you exactly need. Because of that, it's even better to rewrite everything again to the customer's request and satisfaction than sending them into a temper tantrum and fight on a $50 refund, because he or she could be a return customer.

I have tried to contact you privately to deal with your issues; however, you are just attacking me over and over again. Students are coming to this website to get assistance, not to read your angry, narcissistic posts. I tried to solve this whole entire situation by OFFERING your money back to you, even when I did all the work. kelli didn't receive the other half of her payment because she was three days late and didn't follow one direction that was given to her. She was asked to write about leadership treads and wrote about innovation and workforce. Two completely different things! She also used sources that didn't include any authors and the entire paper was repetitive and basically bullshit! I would love for someone on here to allow me to forward my directions and her finished product to prove what a horrible piece of work she provided me. In no way was this acceptable or remotely close to what was asked for. I am also not the first person to complain about her on this site. I can also provide emails of me constantly asking here where my finished product was. She is absolutely lying and I can prove it!!

Hello everyone, this is Kelli I have been working on these website for almost a year now, and I would like to explain why this person is going on a rant about me, stating I am a scam. I made a deal with Thomas, and produced a plagiarism free paper. I even let Thomas pay me half at first, and gave him the benefit of the doubt to pay me the other half upon receiving the work (which I did not receive). I have never, and will never scam any student. I have tried to reach Thomas to offer him a refund for his paper. I do not like lies being spread about myself, or my work ethic. If a student isn't satisfied with my work, I am more than happy to re-do, or refund the paper. However, I found Thomas to be a scam himself, looking for a free paper. Please do not believe that I am a scam, or con-artist due to one student who actually ended up scamming me out of the money I worked for. Thank you, and have a nice night.

Do you think it's worth trying anymore?

If you have several colleges and universities nearby, it can't hurt. It is a lot of work, though, and takes a lot of time (it's good exercise for a desk-bound writer). I hired some teenagers from time to time to do this for me. An easier way would probably be to advertise in their newspapers (I did this as well) and the word-of-mouth referrals that can result can be worth the effort.

How effective was this? Do you think it still works? Also, are there dangers as to the faculty/administration seeing it and getting wise?

It was effective enough for me to make a living at it. After several years, I knew where every bulletin board was at the University of Tulsa (including the dormitories), Tulsa Junior College, and Oral Roberts University. My fliers advertised typing, editing and resume services, but word got around that I could write as well so this part was word-of-mouth. I put my name and phone number at the bottom of the fliers vertically across the bottom of the page and cut them into slips so students could just take one of the slips (I tore off a few to make it look like other students had taken some already).

Interestingly, Oral Roberts University has pictures of all 12 apostles hung in their cafeteria, but Judas is the only one with facial hair (beards and mustaches are not allowed at ORU).

It's still not clear if you are working for a student, a company, or what. If you're talking about companies, this is called corporate writing. There are many writers who make their entire living on this kind of work. Clients of such writers could include not only public and private companies but also governments and nonprofits. Work could include various reports and proposals, marketing materials, press releases, newsletter articles, etc. It can be quite lucrative, but you have to put more energy into marketing yourself. It's not a matter of just signing up with a company online or putting up a flyer on campus.

Recently one client has approached me to develop a Country Risk Report. I have developed it with the help of the sample provided by him. I just charged him $15 per page as it is an initial project. With your replies, it is clear that I charged bare minimum price.

I am trying to find more clients, who look out for similar reports, but I am really confused whether there are companies or people who look out for similar kinds of reports. So I just thought of asking - Is it really worth to spend time and expand the business in this particular field?

Typically, rates range from 3.5 cents to 10 cents per word.

This is the typical rate for academic work. But I can't tell what the original poster is really getting at. Writers who do governmental or corporate reports -- as in, for governments and corporations -- charge much higher than the rates of academic writers. The work has to be done to a professional standard, not a student standard, and it takes far longer. I'd charge more like $1 per word. If it was student work, I'd charge the normal rates as quoted by ProfessorVerb.
