i'm not the person who posted that add, but i have posted similar writing advertisements.

you clearly have no experience with sites and are naive. i've worked for all the major sites and most of them are based in eastern Europe. They don't think twice before sending you second-rate ESL material and will refuse to refund your money. conversely, i write my essays as if i was writing them for myself or a family member.

by establishing a relationship with a writer, you get more value and consistency as we don't have to share the overhead costs with the company. sure there's some initial risk, but this initial risk comes with great long-term benefits.

i agree it'd be nice to own a website, but after you factor SEO placement, hosting, etc. it's an expensive and time-consuming venture that is a challenge for a solo operation to pop-up over night.

Dude, you have no credibility with your anonymous and temporary email address. If you scam someone and a student exposes you, you just register a new email. YOU (and the other scammers like 99essays) are afraid to have a website because then the scam would be short-term. It's much harder to create a new website and build reputation than to register a new anonymous email.

Grow up and realize your and the Kenyan scammers activities are fruitless. Students know working with a temporary email writer is a big NO.

Yes, I got almost the exact same message, requesting a 500-word sample. It came from someone claiming in the body of the email to be Chris Smith. The email address said Chris St. Leon.

While I appreciate the opportunity accorded to me by Essaychat, I have a strong believe that the mods should do more to help clients separate between the wheat and the chaff. I do not understand why I scammers should be allowed to go on with their business, with the only strategy being that of coming back with different email addresses. For a start, I think mods should expose those who use more than email addresses by checking the IPs associated with these fraudsters. In addition, they can make the handles we use here more prominent (not necessarily compulsory) as a way of motivating writers to build up brands. You can be sure that with time Essaychat traffic will improve significantly because students will start having faith in those who post here.

Here is an example, which I recently received in my mailbox, of a "deal" that I will not accept. I don't think any other legitimate writer will accept these terms, either

I am operating a business, not a charity. Payment of at least 50 percent must be made up front, meaning before the first word is written. Writers who provide "free samples" we could easily spend almost all of our time accommodating scammers.

When customers are legitimate, I find that payment arrives in my PayPal account immediately. When scammers are trying to get something for nothing to sell to their clients, there always seems to be a reason they can't pay right away.

Thank you for your posting, I got a weird vibe from her as well. I told her I insisted on upfront payments; however, she proposed I sent her the first five hundred words of the paper before payment. I told her that I take upfront payments due to being scammed. I'm glad I didn't waste my time on a scammer. Be aware!!! It's sad that the writers are more scared of being scammed than the students.

Writers: Stop delivering work without payment. You have absolutely no way to enforce payment after you've sent the work, and not other business in the world operates by delivering first and simply hoping they get paid. Offering delivery before payment is a mark of desperation and it's going to get you scammed.

Customers: No experienced and qualified writer will promise delivery before payment. Anyone doing this for more than a year knows how easy it is to get scammed this way. Look for writers using legitimate payment services with good fraud protection and pay using a credit card with a high level of customer service/protection, and you'll stay safe while getting much higher quality work.

Karen/Critical Proof: I know at least two companies that pay their writers 50-70% of the fees collected and even higher for orders that are more difficult, resulting in payouts no lower than $12/pg and as high as $25+/pg. Still lower than a good writer can command working directly with clients, but not nearly the extreme difference between client payment and writer pay that you insist is necessary to remain profitable.

People in general: Stop bickering and making unwise choices/accusations/defenses out of desperation. It gets old quickly.
